Our Young Fives program gives students the opportunity to gain independence while getting ready for the transition to kindergarten. Our program includes Zoophonics, Handwriting Without Tears, and a Master Art program where students explore concepts through the work of great artist. Students should be able to cut with scissors independently, sit for longer periods of time, write their name, and recognize letters and numbers. Although there is free choice in this class, and the children have a lot of fun, it is more curriculum driven. To better prepare these students for Kindergarten, this program has an extended time that includes lunch. There are two teachers and a maximum of 16 students. Available for students who will reach the age of 5 by January 1, 2020.
