The Three Year Old Program for children who will reach the age of 3 by December 1 of the current school year provides a nurturing atmosphere in which children's introduction to the educational process is accepting, inviting, and encouraging, helping to establish a positive attitude towards school. Teachers assist the children in experiencing a positive separation from home: providing opportunities to work with various media forms; helping to develop listening skills; offering opportunities for large and small motor development; exposing them to readiness concepts in reading, writing, and math; encouraging growth in social development; and promoting an awareness of health and safety. (There are 2 teachers and a maximum of 14 children in each 3 year old class)
